Long Weekend Getaway

Yeaaaay.... I was so excited me and hubby went to Bandung last long weekend, our favorite city to get away for a while from the hectic life in Jakarta. We spent two nights there and we purposely avoid the down town Bandung because we want to spent time in peaceful and serenity side of Bandung so we go up on the hill of Dago Pakar. Unfortunately hubby is a little sick from cold a day before our trip so we spent most of our time at the hotel. Here are some pictures from our trip...enjoy!

Buffet breakfast is one of my fav thing, make me super full

Road trip!
a big pool on our first hotel that we don't have a chance to use due to non-stop rain
Posing by the pool... dear God look how chubby I'am now

this pool on our 2nd hotel was a lot of fun

Over all we enjoyed our trip to Bandung, it just too bad that rain is pouring almost all the time during our trip and since I try to brave my self swimming during the cold rain now I'm getting the cold too, and maybe also getting infected germs from hubby...hatchoo!. See you on our next trip!

Asian Delight From My Messy Kitchen

I think that Asian food are the best food in the world, don't you agree? They're rich of flavor and spices. Over the weekend I'm experimenting with some recipes they are my favorite dish when I eat on Asian restaurant, since I'm just an amateur cook so I made it more simple version and so here it is....and in me and my husband opinion the taste was not bad at all.

Tom Yum Fried Rice

Ingredients :
2 minced garlic
3 citrus leaves
2 egg (scrambled them first)
1 table spoon seafood sauce
1 table spoon sweet soy sauce
1 pouch of Tom Yum paste
1 table spoon butter
2 plates of cooked rice
your favorite seafood i'm using : shrimp, squid and fish ball.

First stir-fry minced garlic and tom yum paste with butter, then add citrus leaves, and seafood sauce do this with small fire. After it start to smell nice add all the seafood (shrimp, squid and fish ball) and stir evenly don't over cooked the squid cause they could turn hard, just about 3mins and then add the rice, scrambled eggs and the sweet soy sauce, stir them up together until they showed some nice reddish-gold color. Ready to served!

Okonomiyaki (Japanese Pizza)

Ingredients :

8-9 table spoon wheat flour
2 eggs
half tea spoon baking powder
a table spoon butter
a cup of cold water
cabbage (thinly sliced)
carrot (thinly sliced)
lobster ball (boiled first and sliced)
salt & pepper

Toppings :
sea weed sheet
mayonaise
dried chilli

Sauce :
(mix together)
2 table spoon teriyaki sauce
2 table spoon seafood sauce
2 table spoon water

Mix all the ingredients together in a big bowl, mix it until it became nice slightly thick dough.

Pre heat a non sticky pan add butter, I'm using a double pan, then pour the dough evenly.
cook with small fire then after the bottom part is well done flip the dough and wait until the color become nicely gold. Then served it on a plate add the sauce and some toppings.
